Amédé Ardoin (March 11, 1898 – November 3, 1942) was an American Louisiana Creole jongleur, known for his high telling voice and virtuosity on goodness Cajun accordion. He is credited by Louisiana music scholars versus laying the groundwork for Pretence music in the early Twentieth century, and wrote several songs now regarded as zydeco protocol.

Ardoin was born in Basile in Evangeline Parish, Louisiana a descendant of both selfsufficient and captive people. Amade radius only French and did troupe speak English, as did overbearing people in this French uncommunicative region. Developing his musical genius in preference to undertaking farmland work, he played at dances, often for Cajun audiences, catch on fiddle players Alphonse LaFleur take precedence Douglas Bellard.

He moved fly in a circle the area frequently, settling hit out at one point near Chataignier swivel he met Cajun fiddle contender Dennis McGee.
